Meet KRR CEO Joseph Kemp

Established in 1978, Kemp Repair and Remodeling (KRR) was organized and developed based on the vision of CEO Joseph Kemp to provide the highest possible level of satisfaction for every client based on core values and an established experience base. KRR prides itself on its unique ability to efficiently and expertly manage, construct, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

KRR offers a variety of construction services to a diverse market that includes educational, federal, military, multifamily, municipal, correctional, and local community-based involvement. The company's history and commitment to value have enabled it to build an expansive portfolio of successful projects. We are the recipient of awards and accreditations from local, state, and national leaders throughout Texas and the surrounding areas.

KRR has increased its project deliverables with the addition of light and heavy commercial construction activities on federal small business set-aside procurements and future development for selective federal procurements. KRR is pursuing procurements in the following areas:

• Multifamily Developments (100 - 250 units)
• Private Housing & Infrastructure Developments

• Site & Infrastructure Development
• Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART)

• US Coast Guard
• US Army Corps of Engineers

The added value of these construction deliverables will enable KRR to provide a stronger experience base on federal construction projects and other general contracting and task order procurements in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and the South Central construction area.

Joseph Kemp — CEO

Joseph Kemp established Kemp's Repair and Remodeling (KRR) in 1978 with a concentration on residential and commercial remodeling in the North Texas and Dallas marketplace. Prior building and management experience can be attributed to the company's participation in various small business programs with the Dallas Housing Authority, the City of Dallas, and the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, as well as the acquired knowledge obtained through partnerships developed with key individuals with many years of experience.

Mr. Kemp was appointed in 1991 by the Governor of Texas and served as one of nine statewide Board Members for the Texas Department of Housing and Community affairs for six years. After this successful campaign, Mr. Kemp came back to his passion for construction and continued with the development of KRR as a general contractor, developer, and construction manager with a concentration in multi-family and commercial construction projects.

Under Mr. Kemp's management and direction, KRR has completed 14 developments in the capacity of lead developer and general contractor, each with an average construction cost well over $8 million. He is responsible for the development and overall construction of 2,200 units over the last 10 years, and over 2.3 million square feet of new construction development.

Joseph Bowles — Vice President

Joseph Bowles joined KRR in early 2007 as a project manager and later as Vice President of Construction working on multi-family and commercial projects throughout the Texas market. Mr. Bowles has managed and completed more than 300 projects in his 27-year career and has experience in all project delivery applications on private and public sector construction. He has been involved in all phases of project management including development, design and programming, pre-construction, design-build, program management, and construction phase delivery.

Before joining KRR, Mr. Bowles owned his own company and worked as vice president and general manager in the Chicago and Milwaukee marketplace. He is an astute project manager skilled in forecasting, scheduling, and controlling costs of manpower, materials, and equipment. He has specialized expertise as a general contractor and construction manager on vertical and horizontal construction projects on local, state and federal developments.
